Madame de le Grande Bouche (the wardrobe lady), was definitely the “biggest” costume I did for Beauty and the Beast! It’s amazing what can by done with old curtains, a refrigerator box, and a lot of imagination!
Cogsworth’s costume turned out rather different from my original sketches. But I was still pretty happy with what I created using a refrigerator box and thrift store finds!
My Babette theater costume turned out exactly as I pictured…but had a lot of problems backstage. Still, I was pretty happy with what I accomplished for only $25!
Lumiere’s costume was challenging, but turned out FANTASTIC! I was especially happy with the DIY glowing candles I made.
Second post in my Beauty and the Beast costume series! Find out how I made these 3 historical-inspired “Silly Girl” costumes, and spent less than $10 in thrift store materials!
